From our second weigh in, Allison is the WINNER! I hope you've been doing your squats. We all know that squatting is the answer to everything. Is that what the creep at the gym kept saying? Something along those lines. Gotta love the FH.

Anyway, Jeff came up yesterday for an impromptu dinner with Bridge, Allison and me. I love my Dad. He brought all the girls flowers. I think we've trained him pretty well, don't you? We went to the Firehouse for dinner. I love that place and their delicious salads.

Bridget is going to apply for the Arts program here at USU and she needed to take some portraits for her portfolio. Her family the models that she needed asap. So here are two of the many pictures we modeled for.

Aren't they such an attractive couple?

A nice pop of color against my white skin. :)

Anyway, I think that's about it for now. Nothing else is going on that's fantastic or noteworthy right now. I promise that when something does come along, I'll let you know.

Today I'm grateful I have a job.

I was just sitting here thinking how bored I was/am and how I can't wait until 10:30 when I get done so I can go to the gym. Then I thought about it some more. I actually HAVE a job. I would be so stressed out if I didn't have one. I'd probably be living at home with my parents not going to school. Life costs money and I'm glad that I have a job so I can participate in my life. :)

Another thing I'm grateful for is my health. The Buckner clan is on the move towards becoming healthier by the day (think Biggest Loser), and it makes me appreciate what my body can actually achieve at the gym. A few years ago, I never thought I'd be so health conscience. That may shock the people who know me now because you know I am way into being healthy. Healthy, clean eating, has become my life. I'm excited to see where I'll be in a few months physically.

Also, for those interested.... I won the Biggest Loser weigh in last week. I lost 5 pounds! Heyyoo! Then Nick, Allison, Bridget, and Sarah. I don't know if I'll pull off a win again this week but we will see!

The Biggest Loser: Hawaii Edition

I'm sure many of you have seen the show. You know exactly what I'm talking about. It's one of my favorites.

We are going to Hawaii for spring break this year and needed some extra encouragement to get in the best shape. The Buckner family is taking Hawaii by storm. We want beach bods. So, we're doing our own version of The Biggest Loser. Saturday is our first official weigh in to see who has lost the most weight. I am really excited to see what kind of numbers the Buckner's can put up there!

The winners on the show usually get some kind of prize or reward (sometimes) and I thought it would be extra motivating if we did the same. So I got a few little prizes for the winner each week. They rang from a new chapstick, a pack of gum, to yummy healthy treats.

Most importantly, the winner gets 50 dollars! We each paid 10 bucks for our participation. It's going to be a fun time. I will keep you posted on the winner each week. :)

Big News!!!

No, I'm not engaged..

We're going to Hawaii for spring break this year! Yay!

The Buckner kids are doing their own version of Biggest Loser and I couldn't be more excited. It's gonna be GSL (Gym, school, laundry) around these parts! I can't wait to get our workout on and have fun with each other!

In other news.. I'm working in the Family Life computer lab and there isn't a single person other than myself in here. So much fun. Expect posts from me often.

Much love.

Okay, so it's been a few weeks since my last post. :) You're probably grateful for a breath of fresh air. Anyway, this post is dedicated to nonsense. It's day two of the new semester and I already have homework! So while I'm at work today, I'm going to make the most of it, print of my readings (I don't have my books yet from Amazon), and make a day plan on how to get everything accomplished. Go me!

The new year for me has been great so far. I learned a lot about myself and who I want to be last year; so this year I'm gonna get it! My new year resolutions are in the self improvement area I'd say. I haven't given much thought to other areas I guess. So here they are:

1. Do my homework on time
2. Workout
3. Eat healthy foods
4. Watch my spending habits

To go along with numbers 2 and 3 here are some motivational posters I've printed off for my room.

Anyway, I'm going to stick to my number one resolution and get my mind on homework. Much love everyone!
